Boutique Bath cinema bought by Everyman Media Group

Independent premium cinema group Everyman has purchased two boutique Tivoli cinemas in Bath and Cheltenham.

Everyman will take over the operation of the venues with immediate effect. The cinemas were formerly owned and operated by Empire, which went into administration in July.

Empire’s Swindon multiplex has been bought by Vue.

Everyman Media Group CEO Alex Scrimgeour said: “We are delighted to announce the acquisition of these cinemas in the historic city of Bath and the vibrant town of Cheltenham.

“We pride ourselves on providing an elevated cinema experience, making these venues a terrific addition to the Everyman portfolio.

“We look forward to welcoming the local community to our newest locations in this exciting new chapter for the business.”

Tivoli Cinemas specialise in independent and arthouse films as well as showing the latest blockbusters.
