Ukrainian military tech experts visit Swindon on drone expedition

Military tech experts from Ukraine have visited the Swindon headquarters of drone manufacturer Tekever.

Brave1 sits at the centre of Ukraine’s defence tech ecosystem, backing innovations that have been shaped by the realities of the war.

Its international outreach has gathered pace over the past year, with the platform appearing at forums and briefing events focused on testing, procurement and cross-border collaboration.

With the support of Swindon North MP and armed forces veteran Will Stone, Swindon has been positioning itself as a centre of advanced engineering, tech and manufacturing in the field of drone technology.

At least five drone companies are confirmed or already established in Swindon, with a further four more having signed Heads of Terms.

They include STARK, TEKEVER, DSEI Flyby, Munin Dynamics and Neros Technologies.

Mr Stone said: “As Swindon emerges as the drone manufacturing hub of the UK, it is important to build strategic relationships with Ukraine.

“Many of our companies are already supporting the war through Task Force Kindred.

“My aim is to bring Ukrainian manufacturing to the UK so we can develop and thrive together.”
