Chippenham MP visits new Wiltshire Business School at Lackham

Chippenham MP Sarah Gibson has paid a visit to the new £2.2 million Wiltshire Business School at Wiltshire College & University Centre‘s Lackham campus.

She took a tour of the brand new facility, which was completed over the summer, last week ahead of its opening to students this week.

The project has involved the renovation of Lackham House – the magnificent Georgian manor house that is the central hub of the campus – to create a series of modern learning spaces.

Improved IT provision and a modern reception area sit alongside flexible classrooms and conferencing facilities, providing students with an environment akin to a 21st Century business centre.

Alongside the extensive array of land-based courses already offered at Lackham, the campus now hosts the Wiltshire Business School, delivering business-related courses including new T Level programmes for September 2024.

Lib Dem Sarah, who won the Chippenham seat at the July 4 general election, was given a guided tour by WCUC principal & CEO Iain Hatt.

“We are grateful to Sarah Gibson for giving up her time to visit our Lackham campus last week,” said Iain.

“We were delighted to be able to offer her a tour of the site and explain more about the growing variety of courses we offer at Lackham which are helping to support the development of the workforce of the future across a wide range of industries.”

Sarah added: “I would like to thank Wiltshire College & University Centre for inviting me to tour the Lackham campus. It was fantastic to see the range of modern facilities available to students. I look forward to continually supporting the aspirations of the college and its students.”
