Green energy provider wins three trophies at Digital Technology Leaders Awards

Chippenham-based renewable energy provider Good Energy has won three awards at this year’s Digital Technology Leaders Awards, a high profile awards ceremony run by IT industry publication Computing.

The company was recognised for Digital Team of the Year; Best Place to Work in Digital – Large Organisations; and Data Analyst of the Year. The ceremony took place at the Hilton Hotel on London’s Bankside.

The awards, now in their third year, are selected for companies and workers at the cutting edge of IT & digital development. The 25 categories received hundreds of entries from digital teams around the country, including HSBC, Matalan, Allianz, and Moneysupermarket.

Good Energy was singled out for the changes made to product delivery and renewed focus on its digital offering, which now has dedicated team of over 50 people.

Tom Collins, Good Energy’s head of digital innovation, said: “These awards are a recognition of the hard work and investment we’ve put in over the past 18 months.

“We’ve worked to modernise the ways we provide digital services so that we’re more agile, flexible, and better positioned to give our customers the best possible experience.

“We’re still on that journey, but our haul of trophies is a great reminder that we’re on the right path.”

Harry Knight, who won Data Analyst of the Year, said: “I’m very proud to win this award which reflects a wider effort at Good Energy.

“The team is responding to the advances in digital technologies with new ways of working and I’ve been given the freedom and opportunities to progress.”
