Digital technology is theme of Wiltshire Business Expo
Harnessing digital technology to boost business is the theme of this year’s Wiltshire Business Expo.
Wiltshire Business Expo, part of Wiltshire Council’s Legacy for Wiltshire programme, was launched last year, and attracted more than 80 local companies creating the opportunity for businesses to network, raise their profile and promote local products and services.
This year’s event will be held on Thursday, June 19 from 10am to 4pm at Monkton Park in Chippenham. So far more than 100 companies have registered an interest to take part in this key event in Wiltshire’s economic calendar.
The event is free to attend and includes a number of seminars on the digital theme including:
- Keeping ahead of the latest digital technology and using it to promote your business
- Making sure your website is user friendly
- Successful business networking online and offline
This year’s Wiltshire Business Expo will also feature a Wealth of Wiltshire Fayre showcasing local wines, food, produce and drink.
Jane Scott, leader of Wiltshire Council and chair of the legacy steering board said: “Last year’s event was a resounding success with more than 80 local businesses taking part showcasing the wealth of services and products that are available in Wiltshire.
“I am delighted we have decided to build on this success and deliver another Expo event; this time in the heart of Chippenham.
“Working together with businesses to boost the local economy and create and safeguard jobs is a key priority for the council. The Business Expo is an opportunity to bring businesses and local people together to network and explore new mutually beneficial opportunities.
“I am pleased that this year we will also be hosting a Wealth of Wiltshire Fayre which will promote the very best of Wiltshire’s food and drink. The event focuses on highlighting Wiltshire’s businesses and strengthening the local economy.”
