Bristol science attraction We The Curious to reopen after devastating fire

Bristol science attraction We The Curious has announced the date on which it will reopen following a devastating fire that forced it to close in April 2022.

The Millennium Square attraction will reopen on Tuesday, July 2 – just in time for the summer holidays – with a celebration event planned for Saturday, July 6.

The attraction’s two floors will be packed with family-friendly science-related activities including the Project What If experience, which opened just before the centre’s closure.

Inspired by seven intriguing questions from the people of Bristol, from the science of happiness to the nature of time, visitors will find some of life’s biggest mysteries and be able to make themselves invisible, peer into the TARDIS, and even stop time while exploring them.

Launched in 2000 as @Bristol and rebranded in 2017, We The Curious is considered to be one of Bristol’s gems.

Donna Speed, CEO at We The Curious said: “We’re so excited to be able to announce our opening date this summer.

“The support we’ve had from our city has been incredible, so a huge thank you to everyone who’s continued to encourage us throughout the last two years – it really does mean a lot.

“It’s beyond heart-warming to hear how special We The Curious is to so many and the fondness they hold for it – and also how people who haven’t visited before are itching to experience everything on offer.

“We can’t wait to welcome you back very soon, and see the venue filled with joy and energy again.”
