Swindon’s Old Town Festival to make a return after four years
Swindon’s Old Town Festival – which ran for 25 years before being killed off by the pandemic – is being revived by the Old Town Business Association.
The team behind the Friends of Old Town loyalty card scheme are bringing back the festival with a Big Weekend on June 1 and 2.
The Family Fun Day on June 1 will be held at Town Gardens and feature music, dance, food and drink, and family-friendly activities.
June 2 will see Wood Street host a Victoriana-themed Old Town Street Party with street entertainment, food and drink, and live music.
Meanwhile, a fringe festival will run between June 1 and 9. Attractions include a comedy night at the Bowl starring familiar faces including The Inbetweeners star Joe Thomas, the High Sheriff’s Concert with The Swing Birds, walking tours, a pub quiz, talks, and comedy theatre with Sherlock & Watson Play at The Bowl.
