Commissioner shows he means business with crime forum
Police commissioner Angus Macpherson will be revealing the findings of his first Business Crime Survey at a forum of businesspeople on Friday, September 6.
The commissioner launched the survey in June to help him understand the extent, nature and impact of crime and anti-social behaviour faced by small, medium and large businesses.
It will highlight whether business people who have been the victims of crime have reported the incidents to Wiltshire Police and, if so, how satisfied they were with the response.
The audience at the Business Crime Forum will be invited to join a discussion about the results. Senior police officer and leaders of business organisations will also attend.
There will also be a detective from the Wiltshire fraud team at the event to talk about the wide range of frauds that are perpetrated on businesses – and to offer practical advice on how you can guard against such crimes.
The event will be held at the Corn Exchange in Devizes, starting at 9.30am and closing at 12.30pm. To book a place, log on to www.wiltshire-pcc.gov.uk/Feedback/Business-crime-forum.aspx
