Property seminar attracts 60 delegates

A seminar held in Swindon by three of Wiltshire’s leading firms of property professionals attracted 60 developers keen to find out how to make the most of the current planning legislation and take advantage of a temporary relaxation of regulations.

Planning and architectural specialists DPDS Consulting, chartered accountants Morris Owen, and law firm Withy King, all of whom have large commercial property and development teams, hosted the seminar at The National Self Build and Renovation Centre in Swindon.

The seminar explored the implications of the relaxation of planning laws and reduction in red tape on developers looking to build on land outside of recognised settlement boundaries or non-allocated sites. It also highlighted key planning, financial and legal issues relating to change use – for example converting offices into housing or redundant agricultural buildings for alternative business purposes.

Demand for the seminar was high and a second one is being planned for later in the year. Further information is available from Amanda Loftus at DPDS Consulting Group on 01793 610222 or email aloftus@dpds.co.uk
