Industrial unit snapped up as an investment

A factory unit at a popular business centre in Downton has been sold to a private investor.

Property consultancy Myddelton & Major successfully negotiated the sale of Unit 20, Parkers Close, Downton.

Quoting freehold price for the 2,185 sq ft (202.99 sq m) factory/warehouse unit was £175,000.

Myddelton & Major partner Dean Speer said: “We are increasingly finding that investors are adding commercial properties to their portfolios as they look to widen their holdings.

“This property, situated on Parkers Close, is part of the Downton Business Centre development which remains popular with tenants due to its strategic location for transport links.”

“With Parkers Close home to a range of businesses, including the headquarters of Help for Heroes, Cricket & Hockey UK, DHAP Engineering and Wiltshire Glass, it was no surprise to see this unit snapped up as an investment.

The property comprises a mid-terrace industrial/warehouse unit with an open plan office area underneath a mezzanine floor which houses additional storage. To the front is a forecourt with loading access and five car parking spaces.
