Hospitality group acquires bar with a view of White Horse

Hospitality and media collective The Kingston Group has acquired the aptly-named White Horse View, which overlooks Westbury’s iconic white horse.

The Kingston Group, which takes over on February 1 following an extensive refurbishment, aims to create a “premier regional destination” for events, corporate innovation, and community engagement.”

The Frome-based firm says the acquisition marks a significant milestone in its 2026 expansion strategy.

It says the venue – famed for its unrivalled views of the white horse – will benefit from its integrated expertise across its events, hospitality, and media divisions.

The group says it plans to leverage the venue’s 2am late licence and high capacity event spaces.

Freya Collins, sales and marketing executive for The Kingston Group, said: “The White Horse View is more than just a venue. It is a symbol of Wiltshire’s incredible offering to hospitality and events.

“By integrating our specialist hospitality relief teams and our media arm we are not just operating a building; we are creating an experience.

“Our goal is to blend high-end event production with deep-rooted community value.”

The group says its plans will increase footfall in the town and create new hospitality sector jobs.

A Spring Sunset Showcase will be held in Q2 to introduce the new venue to business leaders and residents.
