Drinks wholesaler Matthew Clark moves into iconic The Pavilions in Colliers deal
Colliers’ Bristol National Offices team has acquired 21,653 sq ft at The Pavilions in Bedminster, Bristol, for Matthew Clark, on a 10-year lease with a five-year break.
Matthew Clark, of C&C group becomes latest occupier to secure space at the iconic office complex, which was constructed in 1975 as an eco-friendly headquarters of the southwest regional board of the former Central Electricity Generating Board.
Considered a target for Soviet missile strikes, the Grade II listed building was constructed with a nuclear bunker.
The Pavilions, owned by IT firm Computershare, provides high-quality, flexible, open-plan office space, occupying a high-profile location on the A38 Bridgwater Road, just southwest of Bristol’s city centre.
The building boasts collaborative working areas, as well as fantastic on-site amenities including a restaurant, café, shop and gym.
Colliers acted on behalf of the occupier Matthew Clark, part of the C&C Group, to find suitable office space in the Bristol area, in order to upgrade their premises.
The drinks wholesaler – which supplies wine, spirits, ciders, beers and soft drinks to trade customers – will soon move into 21,653 sq ft at Pavilion 2 joining other occupiers such as Computershare, PADI and Acacium.
James Preece, director in the National Offices team at Colliers, said: “The Bristol office market continues to thrive attracting a high level of demand, particularly buildings of high specification with great amenities like The Pavilions.
“Pavilion 2 will not only provide their employees with excellent transport links, but also top-class facilities too.”
Andrea Pozzi, managing director at C&C group (Matthew Clark) added: ‘Matthew Clark has been based in Bristol for over 60 years, and we are proud to continue investing in this great city.
“We look forward to welcoming colleagues to this modern space, later this year.”
