Aeralis welcomes MP to officially open its new headquarters
British military jet developer Aeralis welcomed Filton and Bradley Stoke MP Jack Lopresti to officially open its Enterprise Hub offices at Aztec West.
The offices are located in Bristol’s thriving hub of defence and aerospace manufacturing at Aztec West.
They currently house up to 40 staff with room for continuous expansion as the company grows.
The MP’s visit highlighted Aeralis’ stated intention of bringing high-skilled jobs and prosperity to the region.
There are numerous organisations with a presence in the area with whom Aeralis has already established relationships, such as the MOD, Atkins, and Rolls-Royce.
Mr Lopresti took a tour of the offices which include a design engineering space where Aeralis can bring together partners to explore the initial stages of manufacturing and systems integration, as well as operate Aerside, Aeralis’s integrated digital enterprise system.
He also heard from the senior team about Aeralis’ ambition to be at the forefront of the military aviation industry and about how they are well placed to access an £80 billion+ export market for defence light jet aviation.
Mr Lopresti also had an opportunity to use the Aeralis flight simulator. It provides the user the chance to take-off and land using an interactive VR headset.
Aeralis founder & CEO Tristan Crawford said: “We are pleased to receive the support of Jack Lopresti MP as we build our presence in the area and create a range of jobs within the local community.
“Jack is a strong advocate for the defence and aerospace sectors and it was encouraging to see how engaged he was with what our company is trying to achieve.
“The opening of the Enterprise Hub marks a significant milestone in our development as a company, as it will allow us to accommodate our programme team together with our engineering team and our partners in the region to expand on the development of our innovative modular jet.”
Jack Lopresti, who is chairman of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Sovereign Defence Manufacturing Capability said: “It was great to visit the Aeralis facility and to see, first-hand, the innovative work they are undertaking.
“As a strong advocate of the defence industry and our Armed Forces I am delighted to see this company going from strength to strength.
“The fact that such a bold, innovative firm has chosen Aztec West to establish its headquarters is a testament to the local community.”
