Fast-growing IT business achieves sought-after accreditation
An IT company that is on course for its best every year in business is celebrating another major achievement.
Nebula IT, which is based in Bristol, has officially become an Assured Service Provider following a rigorous audit of the business.
It is a sought-after status that required the team at Nebula to demonstrate best in class practices and infrastructure when it comes to cyber security.
The assessment is in association with the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and it shows that Nebula is fully equipped to deliver services that meet and often exceed the NCSC’s high expectations for security and resilience in the face of cyber risks.
Chris Pottrell, founder and managing director of Nebula, said: “This is an important achievement not only for the team here who work so hard to offer the very best service but also for our customers, who can feel even more safe in the knowledge that they are working with a provider that is leading the way when it comes to mitigating the risk posed by cyber security breaches.”
Nebula is leading the conversation when it comes to cyber security and recently hosted its annual summit which was attending by over 70 business leaders.
At the event it was revealed that the cybercrime industry is now as big as the world’s third largest economy, with an annual GDP of $8trn – which is almost double the size of the German and Japanese economies respectively.
More worrying still, says the firm, it was also explained that data is showing that on average there are 710 million phishing emails blocked by businesses per week; and that 91 per cent of successful cyber-attacks start with an email.
The rigorous process to achieve the NCSC Assured Service Provider status required Nebula to engage in a long and comprehensive process that started with an initial assessment and also required staff training and a full audit of the business.
Nebula’s core services are Managed IT and Cyber Security, Microsoft Cloud Services, AI & Automation and IT Consultancy.
