Bristol Airport issues Easter egg warning ahead of bank holiday weekend
Bristol Airport has issued a warning to passengers about travelling with chocolate eggs ahead of the busy Easter period.
The airport is gearing up for an influx of visitors over the bank holiday weekend, saying it expects 16,000 passengers between Good Friday and Easter Monday.
Many outbound passengers will be using the airport to visit top destinations over Easter, such as Palma, Alicante, Faro, Malaga and Tenerife as well as city breaks to Amsterdam, Dublin, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Belfast.
Meanwhile, some of the busiest flights are arriving from Poland, Spain and Italy.
Along with the usual warnings about electronics and liquids, the airport is advising staff travelling with Easter eggs to keep them in their cabin baggage.
“Make sure they’re easily accessible as they may need to be opened for a quick check,” the airport warns.
