Sports therapist fighting fit on fifth anniversary
A sports therapist who opened a clinic on Bumpers Farm in 2014 is celebrating five years of growth – and has signed a further five-year lease on her premises.
Over the past half-decade, the Active Potential Therapy team has grown, and supported many elite athletes including Paralympian Stephanie Milward, England rugby ladies Sydney Gregson, local GB triathlete Chris Maxwell, and British Skeleton team members James Howard and Jor’Dan McKintosh.
Samantha Bramley started the company from her spare bedroom six years ago, but it took less than a year to grow to the point that Sam knew she would need larger premises.
Today, the team includes six sports therapists, one osteopath, and two admin staff support elite and amateur athletes, triathletes, runners, cyclists, dancers, and people who have mobility problems or want to keep mobile and active.
“These five years in Cavalier Court have absolutely flown by and I’m very excited to be signing another lease,” said Sam.
“I believe that, whilst businesses are regularly changing around us, what we offer continues to prove in demand and how we adapt in response to that continues to be effective.
“Our client base has changed over the years and we have changed too. In 2017, more than a third of our business was treating runners.
“We then noticed that many clients were increasingly entering triathlons, and so we introduced packages combining treatments which best reflected the different types of training required.”
The firm has also won contracts with local businesses by providing staff wellness packages.
