If you are unhappy with any part of the agreed service, we ask that you first contact us on 01249 900864, or write to us and we will do our best to resolve any reasonable complaint that is within our power and responsibility.
‘You’ or ‘your’ in these terms can mean sole trader, individual, business or organisation, as applicable.
As part of these terms, you confirm that your advert complies with the law, regulations and codes of practice, and does not discriminate on grounds of age, gender, race or religion, and complies with laws of fair trading and credit advertising and the Code of Advertising Practice supervised by the Advertising Standards Authority. Business Biscuit may refuse, reject, cancel or require changes to your advert to comply with legal, regulatory or moral obligations; or to avoid infringing the rights of a third party; or to meet our technical specifications, or to comply with our website terms and conditions, which form part of these terms.
You further confirm that your advert does not breach contract, trademark, rights or copyright and that any applicable licences or permissions for images, video, text or otherwise have been obtained and/or paid for, and that your advert is not libellous of any person, business or organisation.
Although free trials of services or products are acceptable, we do not accept advertisements offering credit.
If you are an advertising or PR agency or similar, you confirm you have authority to act on behalf of your client and are responsible (unless agreed otherwise) for fees and compliance of these terms.
You are is solely responsible for the content of your advertisement and Business Biscuit shall not be liable for any direct or indirect losses incurred to you after publishing of advertising content.
Business Biscuit retains copyright of all original artwork or text that is created on behalf of or about you, whether in the form of an advert, advertorial, editorial, social media post, photography and so on. Permission must be sought from Business Biscuit for the reproduction of these materials; ‘copy and paste’ reproduction of articles is strictly forbidden. With regards to editorial about you, Business Biscuit retains editorial control and is under no obligation to share articles written in advance of publication.
In accordance with UK data legislation and Business Biscuit’s Privacy Policy, we may add tracking tech to the advert to collect first party data in order to assess performance. Business Biscuit owns the data collected and are under no obligation to share such data.
Any tracking tech added by you to an advert supplied to Business Biscuit is confirmed to compile with UK data law and Business Biscuit Privacy Policy, including any data control, record keeping or permissions. You are responsible for your advert data tracking, and must supply Business Biscuit with the details of the tracking system. You agree to share any aggregated and anonymous tracking data you obtain, on request within reason. If a visitor to BusinessBiscuit.com makes a legal request of any data tracked or collected by your advert, we will pass on this request to you and expect you to fulfil your legal responsibility to honour that request.
Landing pages and websites, etc which are linked to by your advert are your responsibility and must also comply with UK data law, and as detailed in these terms, and have a conspicuous privacy policy. They must be free from viruses and other malicious content which may cause harm to person or property.
Unless agreement is sought in advance, this Business Biscuit advertising package is for you only and cannot be sold on to a third party.
Business Biscuit will collect data about you in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which form part of these Terms.
If when supplying us with website content of any description in breach of any of these clauses which Business Biscuit has used or published in good faith and after reasonable due diligence, you shall fully indemnify us for any loss or damage suffered as a result of your actions.
