Jiu jitsu school rolls into new Swindon premises

A jiu jitsu martial arts company has rolled into new premises in Swindon, in a deal brokered by commercial property agent Kilpatrick & Co.

Acting on behalf of a private property investment company, Kilpatrick & Co has let two floors of offices at Newport House in Swindon’s Old Town to Gracie Swindon.

Part of the original Gracie Academy founded in 1925, Gracie Swindon was established in 2016. The new premises provide the school with two air conditioned training areas of 100 metres each, and space for a shop offering official Gracie products, including branded sparring clothes and equipment.

Andrew Kilpatrick of Kilpatrick & Co said: “Gracie Swindon were attracted to Newport House’s prominent position within Old Town, close to car parks and bus routes.

“We were pleased to be able to find a new occupier for these offices relatively quickly after the last occupiers left, one of which closed down their office due to Covid.

“We are sure Gracie Swindon will prove a good addition to the facilities in the Old Town area of Swindon.”
