Wiltshire firms make FSB small business awards shortlist
Wiltshire has secured five places on the shortlist for the biggest awards contest for small businesses in the South West – the FSB Celebrating South West Small Business Awards.
The regional awards, which will culminate at a final in Weston-Super-Mare, early in March has seen a near record-breaking amount of entries across 12 categories for both individual business owners and SMEs.
The businesses shortlisted from Wiltshire for possible title success are Top Professionals Access Limited of Swindon (in the diversity and inclusion category); Dan Yates from Warminster’s Greener company (nominated for young entrepreneur); Heywood’s Sophem Limited (trading as Inspire Architects/Box Development Services) who are in the micro business category; Charlton Baker from Devizes who are shortlisted for larger small business; and Kington Deluxe Toilet Hire of Westbury who are in the family business sector.
The county’s nominees will hope to follow in the footsteps of Wiltshire’s Alfie Jones, from Royal Wotton Bassett, who won the title of South West Young Entrepreneur of the Year at the 2023 awards.
FSB South West regional chairman, Lee Nathan, said that the standard of entries was ‘exceptional’ and he expected some fantastic winners to be unveiled at the regional final.
“Every year we are both amazed and delighted to see the quality and quantity of South West businesses who enter our awards. It is further proof – if any was needed – that this region is an exceptional one for innovative, creative and progressive small businesses.”
Lee also thanked all the sponsors who have made the event possible including Reach plc, NatWest, Tyl by NatWest, Aldermore, FSB Insurance, Weston College, Renishaw, Lexus Bristol and Gravity.
