MP to meet company owners over ‘landmark’ small business bill
Devizes constituency MP Claire Perry will meet members of her local Federation of Small Businesses branch in December, to discuss the Small Business, Enterprise and Employment Bill.
The Bill – currently making its way through the House of Commons, but yet to receive Royal Assent – seeks to tighten rules on zero hours contracts by taking out clauses where employees are barred from working for other companies, speed up payments from large companies to small suppliers, and make it more difficult for company owners to shake off debt by removing assets from a failing company and placing them in a new company.
The FSB has described it as a “landmark” piece of legislation which is “specifically designed to address the needs of small businesses”.
The free event will e held at The Bear Hotel in Devizes on Thursday, December 4 from 6pm until 8.30pm. To book a place, log on to http://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/fsb-meeting-with-claire-perry-mp-4-dec-2014-tickets-12751934379
