Marlborough shops to offer a Window on Art

Marlborough High Street will be turned into a virtual art gallery this summer, as 41 of the town’s top artists display their work in 34 shop windows as part of the Marlborough Open Studios scheme.

Windows on Art creates a diverse trail of paintings, illustrations, photographs, ceramics and even metalwork by a local blacksmith.

The scheme – from Friday, June 27 to Monday, July 25 – runs concurrently with Open Studios, where local artists throw open their doors to meet art lovers and sell their work.

Open Studios will be held on Saturdays and Sundays June 28 and 29, July 5 and 6, 12 and 13, and 19 and 20.

Windows on Art venues are open during normal shop and office hours.. A map and directory of participating shops and artists can be found at http://marlboroughopenstudios.co.uk/trails/woa
