Lawyer celebrates Older People’s Day with appointment to Solicitors for the Elderly
Wills, trusts and probate expert Emma Taylor has been accepted as a member of Solicitors for the Elderly – in the week that the UK celebrated Older People’s Day.
Emma, of Goughs, is a full member of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
She has extensive expertise in a range of areas and specialises in all later life planning issues including Will drafting, estate administration, lasting powers of attorney and deputyship applications.
SFE is an association of lawyers who specialise in legal services for older people and their carers.
Members of SFE have a wealth of experience within this key legal area and they are required to have spent a substantial amount of time working for elderly clients.
The aim of the national association is to improve the knowledge and service provided on legal issues including tax planning, wills, lasting powers of attorney, long-term social and health care and other retirement issues. SFE operates at a national level but has regional groups.
The closest are currently Bristol and Bath or Gloucestershire but Emma is now looking to establish a group specifically for Wiltshire.
“I have been working with elderly people and specialising in later life legal services for several years so I am really pleased to have been accepted as a full professional member of Solicitors for the Elderly,” said Emma.

Goughs has a team of lawyers who specialise in legal issues for older people. Emma’s membership of SFE will provide clients with the assurance that Goughs has extensive knowledge and expertise in this area. Emma is based in Devizes but Goughs provides a full range of legal services for the elderly from any of their six offices in Wiltshire.
