Forward Swindon appoints interim chief executive
Forward Swindon – the organisation charged with delivering economic growth and regeneration in the borough – has appointed Swindon Borough Council’s Deborah Heenan as interim CEO.
She will take up the position on Monday, November 3, the company announced today.
Forward Swindon’s board and shareholder – Swindon Borough Council – have agreed that while a process to recruit the permanent position is underway, it is important for the company to be supported with an experienced head to oversee the current delivery plan.
Deborah has most recently been leading the local authority’s Wichelstowe development project.
She brings specialist knowledge and skills in housing, development and urban policy in both the public and private sector.
The appointment follows the resignation of Ian Piper.
