Experts tackle subject of immigration and employment law
Employment law experts will be looking at immigration law issues surrounding recruitment at a free seminar in Swindon next month.
Matthew Passmore will speak and answer questions on the immigration law issues surrounding recruitment including the legal requirement to establish the right to work, the points-based system of sponsorship and the associated resident labour market test.
Matthew is director of PERMITS2WORK specialising in providing immigration services to businesses. Matthew has provided advice and representation over the past decade across all industries from start-ups to FTSE 100 organisations and in relation to employees from CEO to graduates.
He will be joined by Paul Archer, who will speak and answer questions on the employment law framework around recruitment including the status of equal opportunities policies, the legal risks associated with selection processes and the management of health questionnaires.
Paul is a senior associate in our Employment & HR team specialising in advice and representation on employment law issues. Paul has represented businesses and employees over many years in a range of disputes and claims about recruitment including claims of direct and indirect discrimination on grounds of gender, disability and age.
