Accountant reaches final of Bookkeeping Awards
Number-cruncher Phil Hendy has been named as a finalist in the Bookkeeping Awards, for his work with not-for-profit organisations.
Phil, who established the five-man PAH Accounting in Devizes in 2009, was nominated in the Most Innovative Accounting Firm category.
“We are always looking for ways to innovate and benefit our clients, and over the last 12 months we have found ourselves involved in a new niche market,” said Phil.
“We were approached to provide some training to social enterprise organisations on how to run a business and the key financial implications.
“On talking to some of the people involved in this type of entity we found it clear that many accountants were avoiding this type of organisation and there were no real specialists around.
“We therefore saw an opportunity to grow into this particular market and have now gained a much greater knowledge.
“This means we are able to thoroughly assist organisations from the start up to the established phases.
“This includes helping with forecasts and planning in order to generate finance.”
But it’s not just Community Interest Companies that benefit from Phil’s expertise.
The firm offers a full range of accounting services from bookkeeping through to full tax planning. This includes working with Sole Traders, Limited Companies, Partnerships and LLPs.
