Renault Arkana crossover updated for 2022

Renault has updated its Arkana hybrid crossover for 2022 with a revised range consisting of Evolution, Techno, R.S. Line and E-Tech engineered versions, each with their own distinctive character.

Evolution (from £21,458) replaces the previous Iconic. It offers a striking introduction to the Arkana range with its stylish 17-inch Bahamas alloy wheels, full LED headlights with C-shaped LED light signature both front and rear, dark grey skid plates, and tinted rear windows and tailgate.

Standard equipment includes a 7-inch colour TFT driver display, 7-inch Easy Link touchscreen with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic headlights and wipers, automatic air conditioning, electronic parking brake, rear parking sensors and rear-view camera.

Its comprehensive array of safety and driver aids includes Renault’s Active Emergency Braking System, traffic sign recognition, lane departure warning with lane keep assist, hill start assist, and cruise control with speed limiter.

The mid-range Techno (from £23,092) builds on the previous S Edition, with a continued focus on technology thanks to its wireless smartphone charger, 10-inch TFT driver display, 9.3-inch EASY LINK touchscreen with navigation, Google search and traffic information.

The hybrid SUV’s coupe-like lines are highlighted by exterior chrome enhancements, 18-inch Pasadena diamond cut alloy wheels, extra-tinted rear windows and tailgate, and grey-coloured skid plates.

Inside, the black cloth and synthetic leather upholstery is joined by a height-adjustable front passenger seat and MULTI-SENSE with three driving modes and the choice of eight ambient lighting colours.

The Techno’s already generous standard equipment levels are boosted further with an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, automatic high/low beam, electronic parking brake with auto-hold function, plus traffic sign recognition with overspeed prevention, blind spot warning, and rear cross traffic alert.

The sporty R.S. Line (from £25,092) builds on the Techno specification with 18-inch Silverstone diamond cut alloy wheels, a unique front bumper with F1 blade and honeycomb grille, gun metal skid plates, chromed exhaust tailpipes, and R.S. Line badging.

The interior, meanwhile, gains R.S. Line sport leather and suede upholstery with red stitching, carbon-style dashboard, aluminium pedals, black roof lining, a heated perforated leather steering wheel, heated electrically-adjustable front seats, frameless rear-view mirror, and hands-free parking.

The Arkana range is now completed by the new E-Tech engineered (from £26,483) packed with the latest on-board equipment and with a dynamic and sporty design.

This striking new version stands out with its 18-inch E-Tech engineered diamond cut alloy wheels with gold highlights, E-Tech engineered front bumper with gold detailing, and E-Tech engineered front and rear skid plates.

The interior, meanwhile, builds on the specification of the Techno with features such as an E-Tech engineered heated leather steering wheel, electrically adjustable and heated front seats in E-Tech engineered leather and suede upholstery with black and gold stitching, black headlining, carbon-style dashboard, aluminium pedals, a frameless rear-view mirror, hands-free parking, and adaptive cruise control.
