BMW introduces its longer-range, cheaper iX1 eDrive20 model
BMW has unveiled its new, longer-range, cheaper iX1 eDrive20 model.
Aimed firmly at the fleet market, the all-electric model uses a single electric motor, enabling it to travel further between charges than the twin-motor xDrive30 version – offering a range of between 268 and 296 miles depending on trim level.
The battery can be charged from 10 to 80 per cent in 29 minutes at a fast-charging station.
The front wheel drive compact SUV is capable of 0-62 mph in 8.6 seconds and a top speed of 106 mph.
And with on-the-road prices from £44,560, the iX1 eDrive20 is the cheapest iX1 model currently available.
The iX1 eDrive20 is available in Sport (£44,560), xLine (£46,560) and M Sport (£49,310).
All versions are equipped with BMW’s latest iDrive system, featuring a 10.7-inch infotainment screen and a 10.25-inch instrument cluster, both housed under single glass surface which is curved towards the driver.
