Audi confirms prices and specs of new SQ8 e-tron
Audi has confirmed the prices and specs of its new high-performance electric SUV and sportback, the SQ8 e-tron.
The entry-level Black Edition model starts at £97,500 for the SUV and £100,000 for the sportback.
Standard equipment includes 21-inch alloy wheels, Matrix LED headlights, full leather super sports seats, four-zone climate control and a Bang & Olufsen sound system.
Owners can then opt to upgrade with a Technology Pack Pro S (£2,595), a Tour Pack (£1,995) and City Assist package (£1,125).
More flush drivers, meanwhile, might opt for the fully-loaded Vorsprung models at £114,500 (SUV) and £117,000 (sportback), which includes Audi’s Digital Matrix LED headlights, larger 22-inch alloy wheels, and a panoramic glass roof.
All the models feature three electric motors – one at the front and two at the rear. Audi says they’ll deliver 496bhp and 973Nm of torque, helping to propel the 2.65 tonne SUV to 62mph in 4.5 seconds.
Audi is also claiming a 267 mile range on its larger 106kWh battery.
The first SQ8 e-trons should be leaving showrooms this summer.
“We’ve already seen huge interest and demand for our new Q8 e-tron model lineup with its introduction to the UK market back in March,” said Andrew Doyle, director of Audi UK.
“The arrival of the SQ8 e-tron completes our new-look electric flagship model range and sets a new benchmark for performance and driving dynamics in the segment.”
