Sensata helps raise vital funds for brain injuries charity

IT firm Sensata helped raise vital funds for brain injuries charity Headway Swindon & District by sponsoring their recent race night at Swindon Town Football Club.

The evening was hosted by former Swindon Town player and Headway supporter, Phil King, and raised £220.

Chris Griffin, director of Sensata, said: “We are really pleased to have helped raise funds for a great local cause and the whole evening was a success. As a local business, it is important we give something back to the community and people who go to the centre receive fantastic support from everyone connected.”

Jane Weston, centre manager of Swindon Headway & District said: “The race night was a great success and we cannot thank everyone enough for their support and generosity. We rely on fundraising activities to help towards the day to day running costs and create the best environment possible for our clients. Sensata have been really kind to us and everyone here appreciates what they have done.”

Headway has been supporting adults with traumatic and acquired brain injury, their families and carers in Swindon since 1989. Like many local groups it relies on the generosity of the community to support such fund raising initiatives.

Sensata IT, a Microsoft Partner, has celebrated its 10th anniversary earlier this year and has expanded its operations by moving to bigger premises and increasing the number of people employed from the local area.

The company provides IT Support and Services to SMEs in Swindon, Wiltshire and along the M4 corridor as an outsourced provider or with companies where there is an existing IT department.
