Recruiters get on their bikes for stillbirth charity
With the Tour de France heading to England this weekend, a pair of cyclists from C&D Recruitment in Swindon are currently heading the other way.
Danny Goggin and Greig Evenett set off today (Thursday) from Swindon and hope to reach Paris in three days, in a bid to raise £1,500 for SANDS, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity.
Sands supports anyone affected by the death of a baby, works in partnership with health professionals to try to ensure that bereaved parents and families receive the best possible care and funds research that could help to reduce the numbers of babies dying and families devastated by this tragedy.
The charity is currently trying to raise £50,000 for two rooms the Great Western Hospital in Swindon to be converted in a much needed bereavement suite – a facility the hospital currently lacks.
The pair have currently raised just under half of their £1,500 target. Anyone wishing to sponsor them should log on to www.justgiving.com/CDRECRUITMENT
