Pebley tops the charts for the number of Master Technicians
Swindon motor dealer Pebley Beach has three Hyundai master technicians – more than any other Hyundai dealer in the UK – following the accreditation of Martyn Owen and Mark Illsley in the highest qualification a technician can achieve.
Martyn – who has won the Suzuki Technician of the Year four times in his career – and Mark – who is the current Suzuki Technician of the Year – join workshop foreman Steve Strange in holding the qualification.
Steve has recently returned from a stint teaching motor dealers from across the UK at Hyundai’s Training Academy in High Wycombe.
He has ambitions to leave the workshop for the classroom, and is learning to become a trainer under Pebley’s innovative Train to Leave programme, where employees are supported in gaining the necessary qualifications to advance their careers outside of the company if no suitable promotional opportunities are available within the firm.
Pebley Beach holds the franchises for both Hyundai and Suzuki in Swindon and Cirencester.
