Nationwide chairman to retire
The chairman of Swindon-based Nationwide Building Society is to step down after the society’s AGM in the summer of 2015, it was confirmed this afternoon (Friday).
By July 2015, Geoffrey Howe will have spent eight years as chairman of the Society and over 10 years as a member of the board.
Nationwide has begun the process of identifying a successor for Mr Howe following his retirement. The process will consider existing Nationwide non-executive directors along with external candidates.
