Law firm Thrings has appointed Jo Campbell as the new lead for its extensive business development programme.

Jo joins the Chambers and Legal 500 recognised firm having accrued more than 30 years of experience in the legal sector, almost half of which has seen her establish herself as a leader in the creation of growth and commercial development opportunities.

Having begun her career as a receptionist in a two-partner firm, Jo went onto paralegal whilst training as a legal executive before qualifying as a solicitor in 2002, specialising in personal injury law which she established her skill in building trusting relationships with clients before moving into a Top 100 law firm business development role in 2009.

Jo has also been a Bristol Law Society council member for many years, playing an active part in promoting the interests and concerns of the legal profession.

As Thrings’ head of business development, Jo will be utilising her award-winning legal experience collaborating with teams across the firm to expand the firm’s external presence and drive overall growth.

Alongside the day-to-day interaction with clients, referrers and contacts to develop opportunities for the lawyers, this will also include devising and implementing an innovative new programme for client listening and managing key client accounts.
