Hairdressers make final cut in top award
Stylists from a Wiltshire salon have made the cut in the biggest competition in the hairdressing industry.
Josh Goldsworthy and Vicky Turner, who divide their time between Goldsworthy’s clients in Swindon, Marlborough and Cirencester, have won a place in the Wales and South West Hairdresser of the Year category of the prestigious British Hairdressing Awards.
Josh and Vicky entered a photographic collection consisting of four images that demonstrate their talent within their chosen speciality.
Judged anonymously by big names in the hairdressing world, the results are collated by a team of independent auditors to guarantee a fair and impartial result.
Josh and Vicky will now submit a further four images to create an entire collection that are again judged anonymously to reveal the ultimate winner at a glittering ceremony at The Grosvenor House in London at the end of November.
Josh, who was last week named a runner up in two categories in the Creative Head magazine’s 2013 It List, said: “I couldn’t believe it when I heard the news. The British Hairdressing Awards is an amazing event and to be part of it is such a highlight in mine and Vicky’s career.
“We’re looking forward to submitting the second half of our collection and then the evening itself in November, which is always a night to remember.”
