Graduate joins growing sales coaching team

Psychology graduate Alex Elliott has become the latest employee of growing Wiltshire business Sales Coaching Solutions Ltd.

Alex, who graduated from the University of Southampton with a First Class degree this summer, has been appointed sales and marketing manager under the Grads for Growth program.

Grads for Growth is a scheme which supports SMEs and graduates in the South West of England by providing businesses with support, ideas and investment and graduates with meaningful employment and business experience.

Alex hopes to bring her psychological knowledge to the role by incorporating theories and research into marketing initiatives and module development.

Managing director Alison Edgar said: “I am thrilled to be bringing Alex into the business. She’ll fit into the team really well and can offer the business fresh, new perspectives and idea implementation.”

Alex said: ““I am so happy to be joining Alison and Lou at Sales Coaching Solutions Ltd. I’m looking forward to learning about how a business operates and getting stuck in with responsibility straight away. It is exciting to be involved now as the business is growing massively and shows no signs of slowing down.”

As well as taking on a innovative project under Grads for Growth scheme and her job role, Alex is also studying for an IT and Leadership & Management qualification. She said: “Alison has been very supportive of me, encouraging me to study and develop my knowledge. I am eager to bring what I learn to the job and do what I can to help grow the business.”

Sales Coaching Solutions Ltd believes sales and customer service are the same thing – when delivered correctly. Alison is becoming well known in the south west as the founder of Sales Coaching Solutions, a specialist sales training provider.

The company focuses on sales and customer service training for start-up enterprises, SMEs and corporate organisations. Sales Coaching Solutions Ltd has been recognised as innovative and successful by Small Business Saturday which led Alison to be chosen to visit Downing Street.

Alison is also a spokesperson for the government matched funding scheme, Growth Vouchers. This aims to make vital strategic advice more accessible to small businesses. Her client, Marcus Whittington from Bath Boutique Stays, has been chosen as a spearhead for this scheme as he “quadrupled enquiries, tripled turnover and doubled profits” with the help of Sales Coaching Solutions and Growth Vouchers.
