Budding soccer stars score with Swindon recruiter
Fledgling footballers who have set up a new team have been given a helping hand from a leading Swindon recruiter.
Newly-formed Lydiard Millicent Junior Greens have joined the North Wiltshire Youth & Minor League Under 8s and are sporting a smart strip, courtesy of Field Recruitment.
The team had their first match on September 14 and the season runs until March.
Field’s Managing Director Andrew Careswell said he had been approached by friend and team coach Richard Vine.
“Richard set up the team and asked if we could help by sponsoring the strip,” he said. “We were more than happy to do so, as this is not only a great way to support a community organisation, but we’re also encouraging youngsters to get into football.”
Field’s support won’t stop at the sponsorship. The company will use its social media sites – including Twitter and Facebook – to publicise the fixtures, deliver match reports and also post interviews with the players.
Andrew added: “We want to be fully involved and we’ll involve the players and the teams in our social media, so they will feel part of our business too.”
Richard, whose son Bradley plays for the team, said: “I have known Andrew for 16 years and he is not only one of my best friends but he’s an excellent entrepreneur.
“Field Recruitment has been around many years and is a brand well known to many people so it was a good opportunity to see if the company wanted to get on board with a new club. Field were extremely kind in donating all our kit this year.
“This will last us the whole season and really raises the spirits of the team and brings them together.
“Ours is a new and exciting club that really wants to do the best for the kids. We not only want to develop the kids’ football skills but make sure they develop themselves at the same time.
“I love the philosophy of making it fun and enjoyable and getting them to come together as team.”
