Wounded soldier will inspire at Wessex breakfast
Help for Heroes ambassador Jonathon Le Galloudec will be the guest speaker at next month’s Wessex Chambers business breakfast.
‘Frenchie’ was shot in the spine by a sniper whilst on tour in Basra in 2007. Told by doctors that he would never walk again, the Lance Corporal took his first steps two months after the incident.
In 2009 the Wiltshire-based soldier climbed Mount Kilimanjaro with four other injured servicemen. He has since trekked to Everest Base Camp, played sledge hockey with the GB team, and competed with The British Armed Forces in the inaugural Invictus Games, winning two medals.
The event takes place at Cumberwell Park Golf Club, Bradford-on-Avon on Friday, 27 February from 07.30am to 09am. Attendance costs £16 for members and £36 for non-members. To book a place log on to www.wessexchambers.org.uk/events
