Women’s business club attracts first corporate member

One of Wiltshire’s most successful women’s business clubs, I AM WOMAN, has signed up its first corporate member.

HSBC has committed to join the club, now in its second year, because it offers an educational programme, Aspire, which is certified by the Institute of Leadership and Management.

I AM WOMAN has more than 50 members from small businesses from all over Wiltshire including Swindon, Royal Wootton Bassett, Malmesbury.

They meet ten times a year and follow a programme designed to teach business skills as well as provide networking opportunities and personal development.

They’ve now been joined by Caroline Norrey, a business specialist from HSBC in Swindon.

Elaine Godley, franchise director for I AM WOMAN Swindon, said: “We’re thrilled Caroline is officially joining us on behalf of HSBC and that the company has recognised the education at the heart of I AM WOMAN.

“This is not just a networking organisation. Every member goes through a structured programme looking at all aspects of business so personal development and learning is key to what we offer.”

Caroline said: “I’ve been along to a number of meetings with I AM WOMAN and I’ve gained so much from the experience. Now I can bring that learning back into the workplace.”

I AM WOMAN, which has just been given an Investor in People gold status, provides mentoring and coaching, free member workshops and delivers The Aspire Development Programme direct into organisations as well as via the monthly meetings.
