Wiltshire Business Club ceases monthly meetings to concentrate on social media support
Wiltshire Business Club is to cease its monthly networking meetings, and concentrate instead on supporting county business on social media sites.
Founded in 2009 by Phil Hendy of PAH Accounting and internet marketing expert Roland Millward, the Club said it was struggling to maintain its ideal monthly attendance of 16 to 20 members.
The meetings, at The New Inn at Coate, attracted just eight networkers in April and 14 in May.
Instead the Club will focus on its lively Facebook group, which has 380 members.
In a message to members, Mr Hendy wrote: “Wiltshire Business Club has decided to stop running its regular monthly meetings.
“It is a lot of effort to organise and unfortunately we were not getting the numbers to justify keeping it going. it is with regret that we are doing this.
“However, the Club will still be here, but with a change of focus. We want to use it as a resource for members. Ask questions, discuss ideas, resolve business issues etc. Also we want to promote other events in and around the county.”
