The Business Show now arriving at STEAM is the 2014 from Business West

The Business Show Swindon is returning to STEAM for a fourth year in May, with some new features and old favourites, organisers have confirmed.

The Business West-run show will return on Thursday, May 15, from 9am until 4pm. Last year’s event attracted 1,000 delegates and 100 exhibition stands, and this year’s event looks set to be just as lively.

Exclusive to this year’s Business Show exhibitors have the opportunity to hire a LeadScan handheld scanner.

These help connect buyers and sellers by providing exhibitors with additional data on visitors to their stand.

A simple scan of each attendee’s registration badge unlocks valuable contact, demographic and sales action information which is linked to the barcode on every attendee’s badge.

The ever-popular free speed networking sessions return for this year’s show with five sessions throughout the day.

The show will feature an inspirational keynote speaker – details will be announced soon – and a range of seminars on topics such as strategic marketing, business development, innovation and exporting.

New for this year will be Meet the Adviser one-to-one advice sessions,  which give businesses the opportunity to share any issues or concerns with an experienced professional who can suggest solutions that have worked for similar businesses and also hear about any grants or subsidies that may apply for coaching, leadership or management training.

Firm favourite the LinkedIn Lounge returns which is exclusive to members of the Business West LinkedIn group.

The Business West LinkedIn group is the largest group in the South West with over 6,000 members. It provides the opportunity for delegates to make new business contacts and extend online connections, offline.

Ian Larrard, director of Business West Initiative in Swindon & Wiltshire said: “We are proud that the show has become a much anticipated annual event in Swindon’s business calendar. It provides local businesses with a great platform to network and create new business opportunities.

“This year’s show is set to be an even bigger success with added events in the programme, providing a fully packed day to do business in Swindon.”

James Phipps, CEO of lead sponsor Excalibur Communications said: “We are delighted to be headline sponsors of the Business Show again this year. It’s a hugely important event for Swindon and is critical to our local economy.

“The show will create great opportunities for businesses as well as provide them with important insights and ideas of how to achieve and sustain growth in 2014.

“The trade stand and networking element is great for establishing new relationships and will bring home the fact that Swindon is an excellent, resourceful place to do business.”
