Swindon Town seeks new sponsor after Samsung pulls the plug
Swindon Town are searching for a new lead sponsor for 2014/15, after electronics giant Samsung ended its three year partnership with the club.
The League One football club – Wiltshire’s only professional soccer team – are now actively seeking a lead sponsor for next season.
Adam Wainwright, the club’s marketing and promotions executive, said: “Swindon Town Football Club work differently to most clubs and look to tailor each sponsorship deal accordingly to reflect what the sponsor is specifically looking to achieve form the partnership.
“We are currently in the market place for home shirt sponsorship, as well as the away shirt sponsorship. The back of shirts on both the home and away shirts are also currently still available, negotiations are on going, but nothing confirmed to date.”
He added: “The club would like to thank Samsung for their support over the last three years in what has been a fruitful commercial relationship.
“With a principle sponsorship slot now available, the club would ideally like to work closer with local businesses and is actively in negotiations with a number of companies.
“The club would also like to invite any local companies who are interested in sponsorship or other advertising opportunities to contact the commercial department on 0844 358 2668.”
