Record store to host free Lucy Spraggan gig
X Factor star Lucy Spraggan will be performing live in Marlborough on Friday, in support of her new album, Join the Club.
Lucy leapt to fame as a contestant on The X Factor in 2012, having auditioned with her own composition, Last Night.
Despite quitting the show due to illness, she still finished in ninth place overall, and second in her category.
She was the first contestant in the show’s history to score a Top 40 single and album before the live shows even aired with her independently released album, Top Room at the Zoo.
Spraggan describes her music as A-Flop, a mixture of acoustic, folk and hip-hop.
She’ll be performing a free concert at Azuza bar in Hughenden Yard for anyone who buys a copy of her album from neighbouring Sound Knowledge. And she will be signing copies of her album at the record store after the show.
The gig starts at 6.30pm on Friday, October 11. For full details, head to the Sound Knowledge Facebook page.
