Race is on to find Wiltshire’s best businesses
The race to find Wiltshire’s most enterprising businesses is now on, with the titles of best online business, independent retailer, exporter, young entrepreneur, manufacturer and start-up to be won.
Now in its second year, the Enterprising Wiltshire Awards aim to highlight the best in Wiltshire business talent.
The winners of each of the six categories will each receive a cash prize of £1,500 provided by Wiltshire Council. And from the category winners, and overall Business of the Year will be chosen, with a further £500 prize money to add to their tally.
There is also a helping hand for the winner of the start-up category: six months’ free desk space worth £1,200 at one of the county’s four new enterprise centres provided by The Enterprise Network.
Last year’s winner was Darren Larvin of Corsham-based Coombe Castle International exports cheese, cream and butter to over 40 countries, and was the first British company to send cream to the growing South Korean market.
