Healthcare consultancy gears up for global expansion following £2 million NatWest funding
A Bristol-founded healthcare firm responsible for supporting organisations in the planning and delivery of health services and infrastructure is preparing to expand into new international markets following a £ 2 million investment from NatWest.
Archus, which offers a range of strategic and infrastructure-related consultancy services to clients in the health and social care industry, will use the funding to open new offices and add to its expert teams in Canada and Ireland, with further plans to expand to Australia.
Founded in 2017, the firm has already grown to occupy eight global offices. Its end-to-end advice has supported the successful delivery of more than 900 projects to date, from new GP surgeries and pandemic surge facilities to major new hospital developments and the ground-breaking NHS Net Zero Carbon Building Standard.
The investment comes on the heels of a successful £9 million transaction between Archus and BGF last year. The additional £2 million from NatWest will provide flexible financial backing for a set of specific strategic initiatives aimed at accelerating the firm’s expansion into new international markets.
Richard Darch, CEO and founder of Archus, said: “We’ve worked with NatWest for a number of years and the support, guidance and funding we’ve received has been pivotal to our success and growth to date.
“This investment demonstrates their shared confidence in our vision and capabilities, and will support us as we confidently pursue our physical expansion into new international markets as part of our mission to drive positive change in healthcare systems, globally.”
Ben Trought, senior relationship manager at NatWest, said: “Having built a relationship with Archus over the last four years we understand the workings of the business, its growth plans, and the opportunities this new funding will create.
“NatWest is committed to supporting ambitious businesses and Archus’ progression since it first started back in 2017 has been nothing short of remarkable. This latest development is sure to help solidify its position as a global market leader in the sector.”
David Blakley, business development director at NatWest, added: “It has been rewarding to work with Archus to facilitate additional finance which will help them execute this exciting new chapter.
“We look forward to seeing the business prosper in new markets and expanding their important offering to global customers.”
