New corporate sponsor for Safe Drive Stay Alive

Swindon-based vehicle leasing and fleet management company Arval has joined the Safe Drive Stay Alive partnership as a corporate sponsor.

Arval has an established commitment to supporting road safety initiatives, and a number of events have been run in conjunction with Safe Drive Stay Alive in recent years.

Safe Drive Stay Alive is a Wiltshire and Swindon road safety initiative coordinated by Wiltshire Fire & Rescue Service on behalf of a partnership including Wiltshire Police, SWIFT Medics, Wiltshire Council and Swindon Borough Council.

Its primary aim is to deliver a hard-hitting road safety presentation to Year 11 students across Wiltshire and Swindon every year, but the roadshow is also taken to other audiences, including the military and business drivers.

Ian Hopkins, road safety development manager at Wiltshire Fire & Rescue Service, said: “We’ve been working with Arval for a number of years now, and we are delighted to welcome them on board as a formal partner.

“Safe Drive is a proven campaign, well received by those who see the presentations, and we are grateful to Arval for supporting us in this way.”

Tracy Fuller, CSR Manager at Arval, said: “We are delighted to become corporate sponsor of the Safe Drive Stay Alive partnership. We recognise that this powerful road safety presentation highlights the many risks ‘young drivers-to-be’ face in a way that makes a lasting impression on them.

“Doing all we can to educate and raise awareness to help make our roads safer for everyone is something we are committed to as part of our corporate social responsibility activity at Arval.“
