Wiltshire-based IT company Systemagic is offering the county’s businesses a free review of faster broadband options in their area.
Systemagic, which has offices in Trowbridge and Bath, has found many SMEs plod along with poor or low quality broadband without understanding the opportunities already available in their postcode.
Managing director James Eades said: “For many businesses, a fast and reliable connection to the outside world is the single most important factor allowing them to do business.
“They might be hotels, shops, online businesses or coffee houses offering free wi-fi.
“We’re finding many business owners don’t realise the range of options available and haven’t had any conversations about how a faster connection can give them a real competitive advantage.”
Systemagic is offering the free review to businesses with their own premises, to see what’s available in their area. This review is designed to support businesses already paying for a business grade service which is not as good or fast as they hoped. It is not designed with residential services in mind.
The team needs the address of the business premises including postcode and the telephone number of the line being used for broadband (if applicable).
“Each business will then receive a free report detailing the different types and speed of internet connection available with a simple list of benefits of each. Information won’t be passed on to anyone else,” said James.
