HR seminar looks at planning for shared parental leave
Employment law experts from Withy King and Henlee Resourcing are holding a seminar for HR managers ahead of the new shared parental leave laws that come into force next April.
Shared Parental Leave is a new right that will enable eligible mothers, fathers, partners and adopters to choose how to share time off work after their child is born or placed.
This could mean that the mother or adopter shares some of the leave with her partner, perhaps returning to work for part of the time and then resuming leave at a later date.
While the benefits for mothers and fathers are clear, some believe that the new rules will create even greater headaches for businesses who are already heavily burdened by employment law.
Withy King’s Employment team will outline and explain the changes and highlight the potential issues HR professionals may face, as well as offering a range of solutions.
The seminar will be held at Withy King’s offices at Regent Circus, Swindon from 5pm until 6.15pm on Thursday, October 9.
