Green business leaders get in a Twizy at networking event
Green business leaders got the chance to jump behind the wheel of Renault’s zero emissions vehicle range at Wiltshire Wildlife Trust’s recent Sustainability Forum.
The networking event was hosted by Platinum Renault in Trowbridge, and Alan Smith, South West area manager of Renault UK was on hand to bust some myths about the electric car market.
Mr Smith told networkers that as well as being stylish and practical – the Twizy (pictured) is the statement car of the range, while the Zoe, Fluence and Kangoo van look like regular vehicles – electric vehicles only cost £3 per charge and have a range of 100 miles.
There were also presentations from Martyn Harvey, managing director at Mail and Print, who outlined how correct data management can reduce long distance mailings and how savings from recycling at his company have successfully been ploughed back into local good causes.
And John Cox, Chair of Wiltshire West District Scouts, outlined the new vision for the Biss and Jubilee Wood Project which is a community outdoor space powered by renewable energy.
