Fiat dealership T H White has been named Green Dealer of the Year at The Motor Trader Industry Awards for its environmentally-friendly site in Swindon.
The brand centre, which opened last summer on a two acre site at Hillmead, represents Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Fiat Professional, Abarth, Jeep and Chrysler, and is recognised as one of the most eco-friendly dealerships in the country.
It features a range of green, money-saving technologies, all designed and built into the purpose-built location, including a rain water harvesting system, water recovery system, waste engine oil heating fuel, air source heat pumps, solar PV system and LED lighting.
David Scott, managing director of T H White, said: “We’re delighted to have been won Green Dealer of the Year, which acknowledges and rewards environmental best practice in the UK motor trade.
“The award recognised our achievement in developing the Fiat Group Brand Centre, which is acknowledged as one of the most environmentally-friendly vehicle dealerships in the UK.
“This award is particularly special to us as our Energy Division supplied and fitted the Solar PV panels on the front and the roof of the showroom, which provide energy for heat, light and power.”
