Good Energy announces price freeze until Easter
Chippenham-based eco electricity and gas supplier Good Energy has announced that it is freezing its prices until the end of March 2014.
Making the announcement this morning (Friday), chief executive Juliet Davenport said: “We think this is good news for our customers as we will not be raising our prices this winter.”
Good Energy has taken the decision to hold prices as the majority of its external costs are not rising until April 1, 2014.
“As a renewable energy company, Good Energy offers something different to the big energy companies. Our customers are with us because we are reasonably priced, and offer highly-rated customer service and renewable electricity,” added Juliet.
“We know our customers appreciate price stability and today’s news will help them plan their energy expenditure over the coming winter months.”
Good Energy has over 35,000 renewable electricity customers. In 2008, the firm added a gas product to its range. It now has over 12,000 gas customers.
It works with a community of over 55,000 small and medium scale renewable electricity generators to source renewable energy, and is the owner of Delabole Wind Farm, the UK’s first commercial wind farm.
The firm has come top in the latest Which? Customer Satisfaction Survey for energy suppliers and has earned first place in three of the last four years.
